Beckton Community Projects (BCP)
Linking The Community

We are a core group of 5 like-minded individuals who have grown up in Beckton and lived 
almost all of our lives here. We are sad to see that the residents, mainly the youth in our 
community have been neglected; as a result, anti-social behaviour and gang related crimes 
are now rife.  

Growing up we had opportunities such as street sports in the summer, youth clubs which 
were easily accessible throughout the year and even supplemented away day trips for low 
income families to enjoy. All of us were fortunate enough to utilise some aspect of this. We 
were lucky enough to gain some experiences growing up through these projects which 
otherwise we would never have had. Most of all it created an amazing community feels. 
We have formed Beckton Community Projects to try to rebuild some community spirit and 
develop community cohesion. We will continue to build projects for our local community to which they can benefit from.
